Richard R. Stedman
Richard Stedman joined the firm in 2020 and practices in the areas of insurance defense, commercial litigation, and employment law. He has defended employers against a wide range of claims, including harassment, discrimination, whistleblowing, retaliation, wage-and-hour violations, breach of contract, and breach of restrictive covenants, before state and federal courts and government agencies.
Mr. Stedman’s experience also includes providing preventative advice and counseling to employers on day-to-day matters, such as investigations, terminations, leaves of absence, wage matters, restrictive covenants, handbooks, and personnel policies.
Richard received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and attended Loyola University School of Law where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Stedman was a William Crowe Scholar, a member of the Order of the Barristers, a member of the Loyola Law Review, and he externed for the Honorable Eldon E. Fallon of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Mr. Stedman is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts as well as several federal courts nationwide. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
